Our Rolex history | Fredric H. Rubel Jewelers

For nearly 100 years, Fredric H. Rubel Jewelers has been a part of the Southern California Community. Family-owned and operated since 1928, we have had the pleasure of helping many local customers find the perfect piece for every occasion.

Humble beginnings

It all started with our grandparents, Rose and Barney, as they began their retail journey by opening a store called Crescent Jewelers in San Bernardino, California, in the late 1920s. There, they built a reputation at their very humble location for offering spectacular fine jewelry, timepieces, and giftware.

Through the years

As our involvement grew with the business, our family became more rooted in Orange County.

In 1987 we opened at a new location in Santa Ana at the MainPlace shopping center, followed by The Shops at Mission Viejo in 1999, and finally to our hometown of Laguna Beach in 2004.

Although our father is retired now, he is still involved and curious. He enjoys hearing updates on what’s new with our clients and seeing new pieces from our favorite designers.

A legacy spanning nearly A century

We continue with the name Fredric H. Rubel Jewelers because he truly set the bar for us. From how he taught us to run the business to how he lives life, he is one-of-a-kind. He built the business into what it is today, and developed a strong relationship with every customer. We are proud to follow in his footsteps as local family business owners and community members.
